SYNDICATE CAFE – TAIWAN
Syndicate Cafe is a premium commercial interior project in Taiwan that creates a third-space concept blending coffee culture, co-working, and creative community. Lotuz Studio’s design transforms a multilevel urban space into a dynamic social destination where Taipei’s creative professionals gather to work, collaborate, and connect.
The interior concept is organized around a dramatic central atrium that visually connects all three levels, creating a sense of vertical community. The ground floor houses the main coffee bar and casual seating, the mezzanine provides focused co-working zones with acoustic privacy, and the upper level features a private events space and meeting rooms. A sculptural staircase threading through the atrium encourages movement and chance encounters between floors.
The material palette reflects Taipei’s urban industrial character — raw concrete, blackened steel, and recycled brick surfaces are layered with warm timber, woven textiles, and living plant installations. Custom furniture designed specifically for the café combines the durability required for heavy commercial use with the aesthetic refinement expected by design-conscious Taiwanese consumers.
The project includes a state-of-the-art audiovisual system for event production, digital art displays that curate rotating exhibitions from local artists, and a specialty coffee program that sources directly from Taiwanese highland farms. Syndicate Cafe is more than a coffee shop — it is a designed ecosystem for creative culture.
