SEA RESIDENT – MYANMAR
Sea Resident Myanmar is a large-scale waterfront residential development that brings contemporary urban living to Myanmar’s emerging real estate market. Lotuz Studio’s masterplan creates a new neighborhood that balances international design standards with sensitivity to local culture and climate.
The development is organized around a central waterfront promenade — a public boulevard that connects residential towers, commercial facilities, and community amenities in a linear sequence along the water’s edge. Building heights step up from low-rise at the waterfront to mid-rise inland, preserving water views for all residents while creating a varied and dynamic skyline.
Residential units are designed for Myanmar’s tropical climate, with deep balconies that serve as shaded outdoor living rooms, natural cross-ventilation supplemented by energy-efficient cooling systems, and interior layouts that accommodate both modern and traditional lifestyles. Communal facilities include elevated gardens, swimming pools, a fitness center, and social spaces designed for the large family gatherings central to Myanmar culture.
The architectural character references Myanmar’s rich architectural heritage through contemporary interpretive gestures — golden accent elements recall the country’s famous pagoda architecture, while latticed screens and perforated facades reference traditional woodcarving patterns. The result is a development that feels internationally contemporary while remaining recognizably rooted in its Myanmar context.
